Famous Efren “Bata” Reyes

EFREN "Bata" Reyes received the kind of ovation reserved for rock stars rather than senior pool players.

With over 100 professional titles under his belt and a four-decade career, the 67-year-old was surrounded by teenage fans eager to get a closer look and take a selfie whenever their hero appeared.
Hundreds of fans chased the experienced player known as the "Magician" as he exited the building under a large security escort, despite the fact that he had withdrawn from one event early.
They cried, "I adore you!" as he waved regally from a bus.
He took home one bronze medal from the Games.
